Heavenly Father, God of Life and Death, You are with us from the moment we enter the world to the moment we leave it. Be with those Law Enforcement Officers whose end of days will come during their watch. Help us appropriately investigate the circumstances of their deaths so that justice might be done. Strengthen us so we might be a comforting presence to the next-of-kin and families of those Law Enforcement Officers, who have fallen in the Line-of-Duty, in their moment of grief. Help us to be compassionate to those in need. In Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [and daughters] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV
