On behalf of POINT 27, we would like to offer condolences for Correctional Lieutenant Steve Taylor. Please know we are eternally grateful for Steve’s service and his ultimate sacrifice.

To honor Correctional Lieutenant Taylor, POINT 27 sent 27 Thin Blue Line Dog Tag Necklaces, engraved with “Blessed are the Peacemakers for they will be called children of God” Matthew 5:9, to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department in Riverside, California for Steve’s partner and fellow officers. POINT 27 sent two Folded Flag Necklaces engraved with “Greater Love has no one than this; than to lay down one’s life for one’s friend” John 15:13 for Correctional Lieutenant Steve Taylor’s wife and mother.

A corrections officer should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family, and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Most merciful God, You hold each of us dear to Your heart. Hold all our nation’s law enforcement officers and their families, who are afflicted or affected by the COVID-19 Virus, in Your loving arms and tenderly draw them into Your life, together with all others who are living with the COVID-19 Virus. Assure them that they are not alone, and give them courage and faith for all that is to come. Strengthen those who care for them and treat them, and guide those who do research. Forgive those who have judged harshly, and enlighten those who live in prejudice or fear. Nourish those who have lost sight of You, and heal the spirits of those who are broken. We pray this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, who suffered and died, and then rose from the dead to lead us into new life, now and forever. In Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [and daughters] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.
