Reflections for Trooper Tamar Anoush Bucci

Trooper Bucci, it has been 4 years since you were taken from us. In my retirement gig driving a motorcoach I go down 93 often and past where your service ended. Someone is maintaining a banner in your memory on Marble St. bridge and the memorial at the crash site. I hate driving past that sight!

New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your 1 year of law enforcement service.

Tum,
I want to express my gratitude for the wonderful moments we shared as classmates. Those late-night conversations in the dark, where we opened up about our family secrets and discussed our favorite crystals, hold a special place in my heart. I will always remember the time I surprised you with a Ferrero Rocher on your birthday, making you eat it right at the car line, hoping no one would catch the scent of chocolate on you. You had planned to save it for Friday haha that’s how disciplined you were but me being me, I insisted you enjoy it on your special day, despite our circumstances because tomorrow is not promised and I’m glad you did!

From the moment I met you, I knew you were someone extraordinary. You were absolutely right about many things about my life and I wish I had listened to you then. I often find myself wishing you were here so we could "spill the tea," as you used to say.

I want to thank you for bringing us all together and for the incredible legacy you left your family, a wonderful contribution to the youth in your honor. I know they are making you immensely proud. Your family is truly amazing, kind-hearted, and loving. Each and every one of them radiates beauty, and I can see where you inherited your compassionate spirit.
We miss you dearly. Not a day goes by without me praying that you are in a wonderful place in heaven. Your memory is intertwined with so many aspects of my life - when I put on my uniform, pass by that unfortunate location, see a tanker truck, or encounter the angel numbers 444 and 4440. I think of you when I see your beautiful mother and sisters, reminisce about our academy days, and glance at the St. Michael Archangel medallion you gifted me. Your spirit is everywhere, and you will always be remembered in the most honorable way. I can still hear your laughter and envision your smile when I close my eyes. You are a true angel.

With love,
EL

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.
