Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I was one of Mike's academy brothers, and involved in the search for him. He was one of the more mature members of our class; very likeable. It's been almost a half century since his death, and I still think of him often.

I had the opportunity years ago to work with your son, Mike as paramedics in San Diego. He never knew you since you died when he was just a baby. I think of Mike often since I haven't seen him in a long time. I am Police Officer as of now. I worked with Mike in the early 90's. A good guy!
I am a cop now and know the reality of the price you paid.
God Bless
Oh yes, you and Mike look alot alike!
