Officer Painter, our world is full of evil people, and yet, you dedicated your life to protecting others that they may be safe. Our Lord, who sees all and knows all, will reward you abundantly for your courage, dedication and selfless service. May God immerse you and your loved ones in His Divine Mercy. I’m so sorry to hear about the passing Officer Painter and CSO Jefferson. These men were just decent people trying to do their jobs. Both of these men were so brave. They both earned and deserved the highest of respect. It’s so sad that law enforcement officers - and also in this case - a civilian security/safety officer, have become victims to such horrific violence. Gentlemen- rest peacefully in the loving arms of our Savior. God grant eternal peace to Officer Piper and CSO Jefferson in your Kingdom of Heaven forever and ever.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Police Officer John Painter and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of justice and peace. Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever.

To the family, friends, and colleagues of Officer Painter, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to move on.  Just as you were always with him when he walked the beat or patrolled the streets, know that he will always be with you - wherever you may be.  In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Officer Painter is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family, and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

My heart goes out to the family and department who suffered a great loss. I created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the family and asking for support to be able to provide them with aid. If looking to support me in raising money please donate to gofund.me/26f64edc. To many of our fellow brothers and sisters have been lost in the past few years, help show their families what it means to be part of this thin blue line family and how we always have their 6.
