Lord Jesus, the endeavors of our nation’s law enforcement officers are often thankless. They must deal daily with the most wicked and volatile members of society. Sometimes, this interaction even costs them their lives. For this example, we praise and thank You. For like You, they are often mocked and scorned. Yet, even for their enemies, they laid down their lives. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons (children) of God.” [Matthew 5:9]

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Vancouver Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
