To the Horton Family,
Mrs. Horton and to one of "God's Finest 6". I am fully aware that there ain't a thing I can say about your Husband/Daddy about being nothing but the greatest. There also ain't a way to make sense of why it happened to him/yall. And there isn't a thing I can say to remove the yuck feelings and process that yall now have to walk thru. I know we haven't met and I'm miles miles away here in Dallas TX but I want yall to know "I Care" and "DallasCares". I care so much that if was possible I would trade myself so yalls favorite Cowboy would be home for supper. Every Supper! To the 6 pack yall keep your chin up no matter what especially when ya don't want to or feel like it . It ain't gonna make the yucky go right away but one day you'll be damn proud of yourself cause ya did. I will sing ya song real soon. I know today and now ain't appropriate.

Lord God, You are the Light, the Love, and the Life, the ultimate example has been shown to us through the work and ministry of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet, in daily life, You raise civil servants who also lay down their lives for the protection of others. We magnify You, Lord God, for continuing to show us what it looks like to serve and suffer in a redemptive manner. Help us to put into practice the example of these fallen law enforcement officers in our own lives, so that their sacrifice may not be in vain. In Christ Jesus, Your Son, I pray. Amen.
