We do live in an evil world. A world that needs it’s heroes. Sergeant Rittmanic you are one of mine. I am both angry, sad and humbled about you’re passing. I am angry that there exists people who are capable of doing such things. I am sad that so many of our best too often fall. I am humbled and feel a strong chastisement to be better. To do my part to make this country worthy of folks like you who give all. I am deeply praying for you and yours.

I remember you being kind and smart when we went to the academy together. Though we didn't stay in touch, I feel that is an experience that binds people. I pray for your wife and loved ones as they move into their "new normal" while learning how to cope with their loss. I hope you're resting in peace as I type this.

Such a sad day to read the news of this officer who took the job of securing and defending the land of the free and the brave.
She lived from the positive and her life was ended by the negative.
My residence is not in IL I am on the East Coast but the oath all LEO take is the same.
My solace to her family, may she rest in peace.

There are no words to express the sadness I feel for Sgt. Rittmanics family, the Bradley Police Department, and the City of Bradley she so proudly served for 14 years.

My prayers are with all of those she leaves behind, and my deepest gratitude to Sgt. Rittmanic for a life well lived, and a job of noble service by giving the ultimate sacrifice.

Hopefully her family can find comfort in knowing that she died doing what she loved to do. Her shift has ended and she is now an Angel Officer in the arm's of God.

My Aunt was a hero day in and day out and didn't deserve this. Thankfully her killer has now been caught and will see justice. However her partner that night Tyler Bailey is still fighting for his life in a hospital in Chicago. If anyone can help please follow the link I am posting to his GoFundMe. Anything helps.
