Serving as a "Reserve Deputy" myself, I find it incredibly difficult to write a reflection for a fallen reserve officer. First, I thank you for your ultimate sacrifice to keeping the citizens of your community safe. That is what we all strive for. To the family, friends and fellow reserve deputies who worked alongside Reserve Deputy Sheriff Madison "Skip" Nicholson: My sincerest sympathy for your loss. Skip died doing something he enjoyed, something drove him to serve alongside of full time personnel. I can not explain, but totally understand! May God watch over Skip, his family, friends and all Reserve Law Enforcement Officers nation wide. We put on the uniform, and function alongside full time staff, but accept the dangers associated with law enforcement. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten. Thank you for your service to our great nation.

God's Speed Sir!!!
