Chad was a great man, commander, friend, and most importantly husband and father. We worked together off and on for over 21 years. Next to his family, Lake Patrol division was where his heart belonged and he was so proud to come back as a Lieutenant patrol commander. You will be missed my friend.

Chad was one of the finest servant leaders in the office. A senior commander who was still happily willing to climb into the trenches with the troops and help mentor those newly promoted to learn the ropes of a commander. This is devastating to me personally and professionally as well as to the agency and community. I will miss your mentorship and counsel brother. And this world is truly a lesser place without you in it.

Heavenly Father, You are Compassionate and Merciful. No law enforcement officer leaves home without the fear of not returning at the end of the watch. It is a fear that is lived daily. Unfortunately, the worst does sometimes come to pass, and lives are left shattered. Lord God, bless and keep the hearts and souls of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Wipe away the tears from their eyes. Soothe their pain and bind up their emotional wounds through the wounds of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In His name, I pray. Amen.
