A police officer should be remembered not by how he died but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Tom, I’m really going to miss you! You’ve been a great partner. You always seemed to have the right answer. You always had a hello in the morning and a goodbye at the end of the shift. It’s hard to believe your gone. I wish I could hear your impression of Hulk Hogan and Randy “Macho Man” Savage just one more time. Don’t worry we will carry on for you. You will never be forgotten!!!

I worked with Tommy as a new Deputy starting in 1993. We spent a lot of time together and became good friends. He could always make me laugh. Before crimes against children was a big topic Tommy became dedicated to it in the 1990s. He continued to dedicate his career to protecting children for decades. My friend….you made a difference in this world. Although I had not seen you in many years i will still miss knowing you are out there. But I will see you when It is my turn to come home and we can laugh together again.
