I served with Sheriff Vance when he was a patrol officer with the Jackson, MS Police department. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and just to be in his presence, To borrow a line from one of my favorite movies Lee was “ Cheerful in all weathers , never shirked a task, splendid behavior “. He was indeed one of the good guys. He will surely be missed
