Reflections for Border Patrol Agent Freddie Vasquez

Freddie,
It’s a year today since your End of Watch. Still hard to believe that you’re not here. I miss hearing you on the radio, seeing you at PDT or occasionally at UOF or QFQ training at the Station or at STN. Take care and remember, you’re always 10-8 in our hearts.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

I just saw this story on Fox News - Dan Bongeano (sp) in for Hannity. I want to express my sincere appreciation for Agent Vasquez's service to our country and prayers for comfort for his family and friends. I wish that the dedication and sacrifice that these agents make to protect our border were more respected and understood.

I would love to send a donation to the family, but I could not find a link for that.

God bless your family and know that millions of people appreciate the family and his canine buddy!

Agent Vasquez, for many years, you dedicated your life to protecting others that they may be safe. It took a small virus to take your life. Our Lord, who sees all and knows all, will reward you abundantly for your courage, dedication and selfless service. My heart breaks for the sorrow that your parents are experiencing over the loss of their son. It is against the law of nature that parents would outlive their child. May God immerse you and your loved ones in His Divine Mercy. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.
