Eddie was a great officer, investigator and friend. Had the pleasure of working with him on several cases while he was in DPS Special Investigations and on extra jobs. Great man taken from us way to soon. Glad to have known him and to have been influenced by him. Rest easy my friend.

Heavenly Father, thus far within the first four months of this year, some ninety-six law enforcement officers have fallen in the Line-of-Duty for their communities, states, and their country, the United States of America. O Lord, bless and keep safe the families of all the fallen law enforcement officers. Though law enforcement officers made the ultimate sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty, their spouses and children are also making an enormous and continuing sacrifice in living on this earth without their loved one. O Lord, help us to rally around these families as a community. Help us raise their children as if they are our children. It takes a community, Lord God. Bring us together around the families of all fallen law enforcement officers to be that community for their families. Give us the means to uplift them and bear their burdens, as You taught us to do in Your Word. In Christ Jesus, I pray for all those law enforcement officers who have fallen in the Line-of-Duty and their families left behind. Amen.

During his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ promised, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4 ESV]

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Investigator Hutchison, for many years, you dedicated your life to protecting others that they may be safe. It took a small virus to take your life. Our Lord, who sees all and knows all, will reward you abundantly for your courage, dedication and selfless service. My heart breaks for the sorrow that your mother is experiencing over the loss of her child. It is against the law of nature that a parent would outlive her child. May God immerse you and your loved ones in His Divine Mercy. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.
