End of Watch Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

By Jon F. Hooper

Heavenly Father, You are the Light, the Love, and the Life! I now come before Your Throne of Grace in sincere, faithful, and fervent prayer for our fallen law enforcement officers nationwide. Lord God, so many law enforcement officers, who are on the front lines to protect us, never make it back home to their families. I pray for these fallen officers who gave their lives for us. I pray for the families of these heroes, who now have to endure life without their loved ones. Lord God, society tries to move forward, but there is always another law enforcement officer who is willing to make the supreme sacrifice in order to keep us safe and secure in an unsettled and often times ungrateful society. I approach Your Throne of Grace to beg of You to calm the storm that rages within those who would do evil. Bring peace to this land, O Lord. Bring peace to this great nation of ours. I plead for Your mercy and divine intervention to quiet our hearts and unify our communities and nation. Stop the violence within our cities. Let Your peace forever reign! I thank You for all the law enforcement officers who have died protecting us, and ask that You send an everlasting peace so that our law enforcement officers nationwide, who are vigilantly patrolling the streets of our great nation, may be safe and return home to their loved ones at the end of every shift. In Christ Jesus, I pray for the Blue! Amen.

Like so many of our comrades, Officer Madsen is a true HERO - one who very likely gave his life to save others! It's astonishing how often we see this among the ranks - and so many of the general population seem to recognize the sacrifices made! Been hoping that will change, but things seem to be going south, rather than getting better. So glad I'm retired! Anyway.........all blessings to Officer Madsen's family and department. RIP. You will not be forgotten!
