Reflections for Correctional Police Officer Nelson Perdomo

Officer Perdomo,
On today, the 2nd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of New Jersey. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. There is no tougher job in Law Enforcement then that of a Corrections Officer.

Almighty and eternal God, we ask You to be with the family of Corrections Officer Nelson Perdomo of the New Jersey Department of Corrections. Even as Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, was moved to weep over the death of his friend Lazarus, so we know You are touched by the tears of those who mourn the loss of Corrections Officer Nelson Perdomo. In Your divine providence, fill the aching void in our hearts with Your comforting presence and grant peace through the assurance of Your love and care. In the mighty and holy name of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

During His three (3) year ministry, the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed, “God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” [Matthew 5:9 NLT]
