A Prayer for Lieutenant Eugene Lasco:

Lord God, I boldly and humbly come before Your Throne of Grace in sincere faithful and fervent intercessory prayer as we remember in this moment our Brother-in-Blue, Lieutenant Eugene Lasco, of the Indiana Department of Corrections, who sacrificed his life in the Line-of-Duty. We recall with gratitude and respect all that he stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of his spirit. May we be kind to the family, friends, and colleagues he loved; devoted to the county and state in which he served; and loyal to the causes which he championed in law enforcement. For the Holy Scripture says: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God; Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends; Truly, I [Jesus] say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise, and; Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Thus, in our life, may Lieutenant Eugene Lasco live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of Your creation, and to the furthering of Your most Holy Will. In Christ Jesus, I pray! Amen.
