Thank you and condolences to your precious family, friends and colleagues. Nobody leaves their home for a shift knowing for sure what lays ahead that day. You, are remembered by not only your Birmingham PD family and friends, your three children, your two grandchildren, and your mother, but by any of us who have worn the badge. We remember and honor not only your service and suffering but the pain that came to those around you who likewise could never have know your shift would end in long term disabilities and no doubt frustrations and now a life cut short. May the grace and peace of God eventually fill the pain and frustrations with positive remembrances of you and the time they had together with you.
