Reflections for Senior Federal Air Marshal Kenneth Robert Meisel

I am so sorry to learn of the grievous loss of Marshal Meisel from his line of duty death from Covid. To the Meisel family, fellow Air Marshals , and all who call Kenneth beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support. I hope that you continue to receive that same kind of support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Marshal Meisel gave to our nation and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on September 9, 2020.

To the family and friends of Senior Federal Air Marshall Kenneth R. Meisel. On Nov 30, 2021, the Silicon Valley Fraternal Order of Police honored Kenneth and all 2020 fallen officers who lost their lives protecting the communities they serve. A custom made etched glass ornament with his name, agency, and EOW are inscribed on it. Our December program included an inspirational benediction, bagpipe procession, music and K9 special guest
The local boy scouts, cub scout, and high school law enforcement students carried the ornaments to our "Fallen Officer Christmas Tree then hung them. We would like to send Kenneth ornament home to his family. The address we have is 7900 W 78th Street. Please let us know if this is the best address. We will never forget our heroes.

I miss you Dad. I think about you every single day, and I will always love you. I wish all of these kind people could have seen how big your smile was, how strongly you loved, and felt your biggest hugs. The world lost a bright light of strength and kindness, and you will always be in our hearts and prayers.

But what would I give you to hear you call me your little girl just one more time. ..

Coming up on one year since we lost you, the pain is still raw. We were so close to enjoying retirement time together. You will always be with me on my mind. Love and miss you my brother.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.
