Very sad day for all law enforcement. I am sad to learn the loss of Sgt. Rios and my condolences to his family. He has four children and that hurts even more. I cant imagine what his family is going through. . I hope they find the person responsible for this and bring him to justice. Thank you Sgt. For your service to Houston. You won't be forgotten. You are a hero Sgt. Rios.

As I live my life as a retired law enforcement officer, I can't help but feel such a huge loss for the men and women who wear the uniform.
