In December 1995, I met then Sgt. Rickie "Rick" Groves, it was at this time that a lasting bond was made, not only was Rick my Field Training Officer, he became like a second dad to me through out the years at the Kennett Police Department. Rick taught me calm and patience which is a must in law enforcement. Rick was a great man that served the City of Kennett for 35 plus years with pride and honor, he will always hold a strong place in my heart and soul, I will always love you as part of my family, and I will forever miss you. Rest in Peace.
