My brother Rick served God, his family, his country, and Lake County with dignity and pride, and the best sense of humor. He leaves a legacy of love to Bria and Brennan, the true loves of his life. He leaves his mom, sisters, brother, and lots of cousins and aunts and uncles in New England with so many fun memories of times spent together in his favorite Sunshine State of Florida, and holiday visits up north. Our hearts are broken, and he will be missed each and every day.

On behalf of POINT 27, we would like to offer condolences for Master Detention Officer Richard Barry. Please know we are eternally grateful for Richard’s service and his ultimate sacrifice.

To honor Master Detention Officer Barry, POINT 27 sent 27 Thin Blue Line Dog Tag Necklaces, engraved with “Blessed are the Peacemakers for they will be called children of God” Matthew 5:9, to the Lake County Sheriff’s Department in Lake County, Florida for Richard’s partner and fellow officers. POINT 27 sent a Folded Flag Necklace engraved with “Greater Love has no one than this; than to lay down one’s life for one’s friend” John 15:13 for Master Detention Officer Barry’s wife. Shields of Strength also sent a United States Air Force Dog Tag to honor Richard’s service to honor Richard’s dedication and devotion to the United States Air Force.

POINT 27 is a Non-Profit organization with a mission to strengthen and encourage members of the Armed Forces, First Responders, and their families, by sharing scripture on Dog Tags and Jewelry called Shields of Strength.
