„Proszę przyjmijcie wyrazy najszczerszego
współczucia i żalu.
Wiem że nikt i nic nie wypełni już tej luki
w Waszych sercach,
lecz pamiętajcie że nie umiera ten
kto trwa w pamięci bliskich.
Przeznaczenie odebrało Cię
zbyt szybko rodzinie i przyjaciołom,
ale nigdy nie odbierze Cię
naszej pamięci i naszym sercom.”..Spoczywaj w spokoju.

On the second anniversary of Officer Dia’s death, I reflect on his humanity and love for his job, community and family. My son has wanted to protect and serve since he was 2 years old. He turned 14 two days ago and still wants to serve and protect, just like Officer Dia. My son wanted to visit his grave after the incident, so we took him to pay his (and our) respects and met his father while we were there. Thank you for being a role model for others, even in passing. Officer Dia will always be loved by the community and never forgotten

Tony, though our paths did not pass much on the job, I have learned so much about you, and wish we would have worked more together. The words you wrote down in your letter were so compelling, and truly spoke to me and many others. Know that your wife and sons will be taken care off. You will never be forgotten. Rest easy now, and know we will take it from here. Thank you for being there to welcome Brandon home. You both were with us for such short periods of time, but your impacts have been immeasurable. Say hello to Keith and Kevin for me.
