I find it nearly impossible come up with the words to adequately express my deep sorrow at this tragedy. My love and prayers go to the family, friends, and colleagues of Deputy Sheriff Wyatt Maser, and to all First Responders worldwide.

Deputy Maser, you are true hero and an inspiration to all decent, freedom-loving people. I am infinitely grateful you were willing to apply your knowledge, skill, and effort to protect the peace of our nation. Your name will be held with the deepest honor throughout history.

I very much appreciate your service and sacrifice to the citizens of the Bonneville County, the State of Idaho, and the United States -- and that includes, indirectly, your service to me and my family.

Our world is a better and safer place because you were in it.

Our world is a darker and more dangerous place because your life was taken away.
