Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

So grateful for the incredible heritage that Forest created for my family. His son, my dad, John Townsley, carried on the legacy, including being superintendent of both Mt Rainier and Yellowstone National Parks, giving his family incredible experiences. You died too young, but your son carried on well and left a great legacy!

Born a year too late I never had the chance to meet you I have come to know you thru family photos, tales and reading of your deeds from early childhood to the Chief Ranger you bacame. I never hesitate to tell anyone who will listen just how pround I am to be your grandson. Your dedication to duty and your bravery were and still are an inspiration to many of us.
