His grandfather mustered out of the Army in 1946 on a Friday and started with South Pasadena PD the following Monday. Retired 33 years later as a Lieutenant. He also retired from the Army Reserve as a Lt Col. His Father is a retired Navy and Navy Reserve officer with 4 years of initial active duty and recalled back to active duty for Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, where he served overseas for 11 months.
