Officer David Kellywood,

Thank you, for your selfless sacrifice. When others are running from the sound of gun shots, law enforcement officers run to them; you are a hero and will be remembered as one. The offender didn’t respect human life or authority, so who knows how many people may have been injured or killed had you not confronted him.
May you rest in eternal peace, and may God’s comforting hand be upon your family, friends, coworkers and your tribal community.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office (IL)
