My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, department & community for this senseless loss. The continued reports of Officers/Heros dying in the line of duty is extremely disturbing. In my 42 years of law enforcement in Texas, working for 2 departments, we unfortunately lost 1 officer from each department. Both were heartbreaking events that will never be forgotten. We can all take solace in Matthew 5:9, "Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God".
