Jackson I'm gonna miss running with you on fire calls, talking with you after State Guard drill at the airport, undoing the latest mess you got your radio into, or simply having a good laugh over dinner at the fire department. Gone way too soon. Rest easy my friend, we have the watch from here.

As a mother of Seattle Police Department officer and community member of Florence, SC, I have interacted with officer Winkeler several times at the Florence airport. Office Winkeler was always smiling all hours of the day and inquiring about my own officer which touched me. I am deeply saddened of the loss for all family members and our community. Each day I say a prayer for all public service members that they remain safe and return to their families. Office Winkeler was special and will be missed.
