I got to meet and visit with your parents recently here in AP. Such fine folks and shared all the outpouring of love and support for you, brother. They are part of our family here, and we will continue to look after them for you.

You impressed upon so many lives and your legacy through your big heart and altruistic style of service will never be forgotten.

Your work on this rocky soil is over and now you can rest with the angels and our brothers and sisters who preceded you. Keep watch over us from above. We got your six down here, brother. Rest easy.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

Heavenly Father, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Deputy Sheriff Bryan C. Pfluger, of the San Jacinto, Texas Sheriff’s Office, was taken from us on Saturday, December 21, 2019. He was killed, in the Line-of-Duty, in an intersection vehicle collision at 6:45pm in Coldspring, Texas. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. We ask this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can go to the Father except by way of the Son. Amen.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

“And he [Jesus] said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” [Luke 23:43 ESV]

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4 ESV]

After 30 years of service to this state I still reflect on, why do so many young brother and sister peace officers have to die at such a young age, our hearts go out to Brian's wife and fatherless child. May Almighty God shield Brian's family from harm and please give them the strength to carry on without him in their lives. Greatest Personal Respect and Love, G.
