"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."

As I sit here and think of all my Brothers in blue that are being murdered by the scum of the earth that dont deserve to breath the air that we do my thoughts and prayers are with your family and Department brother I am so sorry that this is happening to us just as I was shot twice by a thug who served 30 for attempted murder and got out only to continue his thug behavior the answer is simple if there is no punishment for what you do but prison which is all these thugs know a DEATH SENTENCE that is carried out swiftly and we will see a change certainly some empty prison cells thus over crowding is solved Brothers it is past time to push our law makers that were elected by law abiding citizens to pass a law if you murder a police officer a death sentence is the only choice not years of appeals I know my Brothers feel the same way as I do may god walk with you all as you do what we were called to do brother you rest in peace knowing that you are not forgotten Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice
