Lord, I ask for courage;
Courage to face and conquer my own fears...
Courage to take me where others will not go.
I ask for strength;
Strength of body to protect others...
Strength of spirit to lead others.
I ask dedication;
Dedication to my job to do it well...
Dedication to my community to keep it safe.
Give me, Lord, concern;
For all those who trust me...
And compassion for those who need me
And, please, Lord, through it all; be at my side.

Agent Clardy, you are truly a hero. Your service to our nation as well as the communities you have served after your military service is no doubt exemplary. The animal who murdered you will be remembered only for his crime, you will be remembered for so much more.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace. Your Dad has no doubt welcomed you and shown you just how things work up there and it's a small consolation that after all these years, you've been reunited.

I am so very sorry for the families and friends of all the officers included in this list. It seems to me that these officers are so young, but I have to remind myself that I am no longer a “spring chicken”. My husband and I worked many as trauma healthcare personnel. We learned how much this particular first responders group cared for his coworkers as well as those of those we came into contact with. I was actually on duty in the ER during an incident known as the “Good Friday massacre “. It effected the way I treat not only officers but their families and friends. It was traumatic for me as I was barely 19 even though I was slated to graduate that spring. I always make my sons and daughter read this post with at least every other week. I want them to respect these officers and realize their life can change in a blink of the eyes. This memorial is not only for Officer Clardy but also for the two officers who were killed and one who was paralyzed from the chest down on that horrendous Friday. May all deceased officers and families find some kind of peace.

Agent Clardy, you served your country for 14 years, unselfishly, without any regard for your own safety, that others may live safely. Your reward in heaven will be abundant. May our loving Lord immerse you and those you've left behind in His Divine Mercy. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

Billy was a cops cop. He was one of the very best officers I have had the privilege to work with and to have him work for me. Billy and I went to the academy together, worked North Precinct together, worked hand in hand when he was a Community Resource Officer and I was in narcotics., and when the department created the Anti-Crime Team, he was at the very top of my list of Officers to be assigned. Billy defines the definitions of Integrity, Dedication, Knowledge, and Selflessness. I have and will always look up to Billy for being the man he was. If you have ever worked with Billy, you know exactly what I mean. Billy was one of the very few people who you could call anytime day or night and he would go out of his way to do anything he could for you. Brother, I Love You and will miss you for the rest of my life!
