Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

To the family and friends of Scott J. Lakins, I am writing to express my appreciation and respect, but most importantly my condolences. When I came across this story, it reminded me of the level of danger in this line of work. This is why I appreciate and respect Scott J. Larkins, to dedicate himself to protecting the city of Detroit and its people make him truly inspiring for all future police officers. Officer Larkins is a true hero, who will never be forgotten.

Dear family of officer scott james larkins, i am writing this letter to offer my deepest condolences to you on the passing of your father. The sacrifice he made to protect the community will always be remembered and appreciated. Officer Larkins demonstrated incredible bravery during his service with the Detroit Police Department. His commitment to duty and dedication to serving his community has left a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten. He is a hero in every sense of the word, and his service to the will always be remembered. My name is SPO. Jalil and wanted to reach out to express my heartfelt condolences to you on the loss of your father. Although i never had the honor to meet him, i have heard so much about him and the incredible sacrifices he made in the line of duty. Officer Larkins exemplified the best of what it means to be a Police Officer. His dedication, bravery and commitment to serving and protecting the community is truly inspiring to me and other cadets like myself. He gave his life while serving and protecting the people of Detroit, and his sacrifices will never be forgotten. Officer Larkins is a hero who touched the lives of many and his memory will always be honored and cherished.

Officer Scott Larkins is my father and I'd like to thank him for his service. We all miss him and pray that he sees the good that has been done in his name and honor since his passing. Our family grieves all law enforcement officers who have given their lives in the performance of their duty and appreciates their bravery, strength, courage and commitment.
