Heavenly Father, our hearts and prayers go out to the Park Rangers of the Los Angeles, California Department of Recreation and Parks and for the family, friends, and colleagues of Captain Albert Torres, of the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks; Park Rangers, who suffered a heart attack and died in the Line-of-Duty on Saturday, October 12, 2019, while working the Saddleridge Wildfires. Depart, dear Brother-in-Blue, out of this world into the arms of the Father who created you, into the arms of the Son who redeemed you, and into the arms of the Spirit who made you whole. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith [Inspired by 2Timothy 4:7]. Now rest easy in peace. We will take it from here. Amen.

Jesus teaches us the following:

1. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4];
2. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children]of God.” [Matthew 5:9];
3. "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13], and;
4. “And he [Jesus] said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” [Luke 23:43].
