End of Watch Sunday, July 21, 2019.

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Sheriff Nimtz, our Lord took you back to Him at a very young age. When you chose to become a police officer, it was probably to fulfill your dream of serving people by keeping them safe. You must have been filled with many plans to be the best cop possible and to be the best husband and father to your wife and children. But God has other plans for you, and since we know that He is an all-knowing, all-loving God, those plans are good. May He immerse you and your loved ones in His Divine Mercy. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.

Deputy Nimtz, you were responding to a call where someone could potentially be in danger, knowing full well that YOU could be in danger as well. How many Sisters and Brothers have we lost while on domestic disturbances? Too many. How tragic and sad that it was one of these calls that took your life, but in a way that wouldn't have been guessed by the average person. You were responding to assist and keep all involved safe and protected. You are to be commended for your efforts and respected for your concern.

God Bless you, Brother and may your eternal Rest be ever Peaceful.
