RIP and thank you for your service both to Arkansas and your country. Prayers to the many family and friends who are affected by this loss. Domestic responses are one of the most difficult and dangerous of all. It saddens me to know you were there trying to help someone who needed you and your life ended because of someone else’s senseless act.

We train almost every day for the types of calls in which we respond to all the time.. always meeting up after discuss what we could have done different or what could have happened. Sometimes there is no answer to what we could have done differently, we dont know what others are thinking. As we drive back towards Mountain View from escorting a fallen brother I’ve had some time to think about today. I was in our office when the officers were dispatched out today to the residence on Flag Road. The responding deputies formulated a plan on the way to the call. Things don’t always go the way a plan is laid out. Today we lost one of our brothers, doing one of the many jobs he loved. Everyday we respond to calls both Police and Fire with the same goal in mind to help others. Sergeant Stephens and/or Chief Stephens glad to have known and worked side by side with you on numerous calls and scenes. Rest in Peace now brother. Prayers go out to his family, friends, co-workers and firefighters. Will see you tomorrow brother as we bring you back to Stone and Izard Counties.
