Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Tara Christina O'Sullivan

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln

I am so very sorry to the family of this young Officer. It breaks my heart to know she had just started her career. For it to end this way so soon is not right. I am very angry at the person who decided to do this. I hope at some point he realizes the magnitude of what he has done. In the meantime, it is more important for the family of this fallen Officer to know we all as an LE community are thinking of them and will sincerely pray for their lives to be comforted in knowing they are not alone. God Bless You.
