Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Albert Ramirez Castaneda, Jr.

May God bless you and your family. You paid the ultimate sacrifice. May you rest in peace my brother in blue.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln

My heart and prayers go out to Officer Castaneda's family, friends and Department.
We attended our nephew's high school graduation party on 6-1-2019 in Grand Prairie.
Officer Castaneda worked security for the event. It started to rain during the event, Officer Castaneda went to his vehicle and retrieved his personal umbrella and assisted with getting the guests in the building. The entire gathering was highly impressed with his willingness to help . I can contest to his character . He was highly professional and he had a servant heart . Having law enforcement experience as a former police officer with the Griffin, Ga Police Dept. for seven years and a retired Ga Parole Officer, I can ascertain the fact that Officer Castaneda was a credit to his community and his department. Thank you Officer Castaneda for your service.
