A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Grand Prarie Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Lord God, our hearts and prayers go out to the Grand Prairie, Texas Police Department and for the family, friends, and colleagues of Police Officer Albert J. Castaneda, of the Grand Prairie Department, who was killed in the Line-of-Duty on Friday, June 7, 2019. Depart, dear Brother-in-Blue, out of this world into the arms of the Father who created you, into the arms of the Son who redeemed you, and into the arms of the Spirit who made you whole. “You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith” [2Timothy 4:7]. Now rest easy in peace. We will take it from here. Amen.

Scripture teaches us that:

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4 ESV]

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]
