Steven was a great man! He was a gentle giant. We began our career with the Department of Corrections over 20 years ago and worked along side each other in the field working inmates in the field from horseback.

We both left and went to work at different agencies but can surely say he was always a pleasure to be around and work with. Never complaining and always ready to help.

Prayers for Elisha and the kids. Rest easy my brother.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
