Some Officers may disagree, but my two cents worth,,,A Cops Cop. Pray for his family and children. I lost 14 Officers in the line of duty during my 30 years with Denver. It stays with you.

Lord God, our hearts and prayers go out to the Manati, Puerto Rico Municipal Police Department and for the family, friends, and colleagues of Police Officer Jesus Marrero-Martinez , of the Manati Municipal Police Department, who was Shot and Killed in the Line-of-Duty on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Depart, dear Brother-in-Blue, out of this world into the arms of the Father who created you, into the arms of the Son who redeemed you, and into the arms of the Spirit who made you whole. “You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith” [2Timothy 4:7]. Now rest easy in peace. We will take it from here. Amen.

Scripture teaches us that:

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4 ESV]

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]

No words to describe the horror of knowing that a love ones life can be taken away in a blink of a second. Mr. Marrero is with his Lord now, while we seek for justice here and pray for the safety of his family and children. Another terrible murder in our beautiful Island of Puerto Rico, What a shame that good people can’t go out to have some fun instead Mr. Marrero found death by cruel and evil assassins . My condolences to the family.
