I fondly remember Constable "Hoot" West from the Caledonia and state line area of Lowndes County, Mississippi area. He has been a fixture of fair policing at a time when Mississippi was coming out from segregation to the twentyfirst century. Thank You for your unselfish service of 52 years. It doesn't surprise that he died doing what he loved doing. Constable Hoot West my sincere and deepest sympathy and prayers to your family. It just doesn't seem possible that he is gone. It is the end of an era, with his passing.
