Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Detective Megan K. Carr-Wilks

Megs we approach another new year without your physical presence. There has been so many things happening in the family Marriages, Births and Deaths. Megan i miss you so much and think of you all the time. I wish you were anywhere else on 9/11 of course as you've said you were where you were supposed to be. Little sister until we meet, i love you.

Lord Jesus, as we watch our nation’s brave law enforcement officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, it becomes difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the law enforcement officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.

“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]

Our Hero, Megan, my sister in law will forever be missed, her love for her family especially her love for her Big Brother David knew no bounds. I can still here her out on our calling out his name. Her grandchildren and sons adored her. She left too soon.
