Trooper Groves - The weather was just awful. Most of us who live here were stuck inside and complaining. You were already working out in the midst of the hard driven snow.

Your loss is tragic to those who love you and who were loved by you. We, who live in Colorado, often take for granted the courage and commitment of the CSP Troopers and their support team members who have to go out in the dark of night and in the adverse weather conditions.

Thank you for your service to the people of Colorado. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

Sgt. Kieth Moreland
Arapahoe Community College PD (Ret. LAPD Sgt.)

Corporal Groves, it is not everyone who would go out into a blizzard to assist someone, but you forged ahead. The carelessness of another took the life of a hero. We can only pray that the individual in the second car took a valuable lesson from the experience and tries to be a more cautious and thoughtful person. If so, you taught a lesson and potentially have saved many future lives with your sacrifice. What a horribly sad way to do that.

God Bless you, Brother and may you forever Rest in Peace.
