To the family of Sgt. Carter my deepest condolences , there are no words that can comfort you right now .....my prayers are with you . To my brothers and sisters in blue I grieve with you as well , I know all too well your pain having been on duty when we lost 3 officers in one day . The days ahead are going to be difficult , the tour each day from this moment on is not only going to be difficult , but take on an unfamiliar meaning as well . Confide in one another , lean on each other and know that there are those of us praying for your healing....
Family may God continue to keep and strengthen you ....
Rest easy Sgt. Carter , your watch is done , your brothers and sisters have the watch from here......
