Director Schmitz and the Illinois State Police Family,
As a young man I would stand for hours on the I88 bridge and watch the Illinois Troopers zoom past below.
I watch, I learned and became a Dallas PD Officer for 37 years.
Please accept my prayers and condolences for this Brother in Blue. He and his family are the hero’s we need. So other young men and women can watch and learn and become for years to come!
Rest In Peace Christopher,
Respectfully,

I am a retired Chicago Police Officer living with my wife in SW Florida. I was watching the WGN news app when I learned of the death of Illinois State Trooper, Chris Lambert. Trooper Lambert was heading home but he stopped to assist at a accident scene.
May Our Lord Have A Special Place In His Heavenly for Trooper Lambert.

My sympathies go out to the Lambert family and to the members of the Illinois State Police.
