Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Trooper Christopher James Lambert

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Officer Lambert was killed in the line of duty.

To the Lambert family, fellow troopers, and all who call Christopher beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support. I know that that you will receive that same kind of support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Jackson gave to his community and the citizens of Illinois and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on January 12, 2019.

Christopher, I could not do this yesterday because I was trying to keep it together. On the One year anniversary of your death...I miss you more than ever my sweet baby boy. I'm so proud of the man you became and what you have accomplished in your 34 yrs of life here on this Earth. You are and will always be honored and praised by so many people whom love you and respect you for your duty and ultimate sacrifice to our Country, State and your family. I know you continue your service just not here on this earth because you are bigger than life and still have so much to give. I will continue to be there for Halley and your babies, I promise you that!! Until we are reunited and I can wrap my arms around you and give you a big squeeze and you can say to me "Love you woman" I will always remember what an awesome and loving son you are and always will be! Love you always!!! Mom

I had the pleasure of serving with Sergeant Lambert in the 21st MP Co. (ABN) during our Iraq deployment (OIF 08-09) and later as an MP working patrol on Fort Bragg. He was a great guy, and an awesome Paratrooper. To his family... Thank you, so much for sharing him with us, he kept his fellow Paratroopers safe in Basra, on the streets of Fort Bragg. I am so sorry for your loss.
