Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Natalie Becky Corona

It pains me to see so many young people like you knowing and willing to sacrifice your life and family to keep us safe. I cry many times when you and other offices are killed in the LOD. It hurts me to see young men and women on the streets and doesn't care about young officers being killed. They should join a force and stop complaining about police officers treatment of them. Davis PD lost an upcoming officer.

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

There's nothing more heartbreaking than seeing the death of an officer. It is very sad when an officer dies, let alone dies so early into their career and at such a young age. A lot of potential to make a difference spoiled because one person could not live with abiding to the law and believed killing those peacekeepers was a better alternative. Forever rest in peace Officer Corona, the pearly gates will grant you another career of peacekeeping. Peacekeeping in a land where fear of death is no longer a living mental temptation.

Officer Corona, everything I have read about you makes me wish I had gotten a chance to meet you or recruit you to my department - you would have been a perfect fit! Your smile shows both inner and outer beauty. The passion you exemplified for your career - although cut short - will not be forgotten. I will think about you when I put my uniform back on for my next shift. We’ve got the line from here. Thank you for your service.

Officer Corona, I truly truly mourn for your death in the hands of an evil man when your life is just starting. That you chose to be a police officer is a testimony to the kind of person you are, beautiful inside and out. Why did God take you back to Him, only He could explain. May He immerse you and your family in His Divine Mercy. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.
