OUR HERO IN BLUE: TROOPER ROBERT E. NAGLE, OF THE NEW JERSEY STATE POLICE, A VICTIM OF THE ATTACKS OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2001:

Almighty God, we were shaken with horror and despair at the utter cowardice and senseless hatred that spawned the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We continue to crave the presence of Your Spirit as we walk through the memory of this terrible valley of dark shadows. We need You to "ground" and "center" our emotional selves so that we are overtaken by Your grace and wisdom. We implore You, loving God, to enable us to bear the pain and the loss as we continue to lose our loved ones to these enemies who hide in the dark and kill without caring. Grant our leaders, not only American, but the world leaders, the courage to find the wisdom to chart the road to peace with haste. Give those whose loss, since that dark day in September 2001, is not only national, but deeply personal, the clarity to see an unexpected future, the hope to overcome the turmoil of that horrific hour, the strength to do what must be done, and the bravery that is lacking in those who stole their loved ones on that fateful day. And we will give You the honor and the glory.

God of Mercy, we come boldly and humbly before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer. You are the Light, the Love, and the Life. We pray for the family and colleagues of Trooper Robert E. Nagle, of the New Jersey State Police, who fell, as a result of a 9/11 related illness, in the Line-of-Duty on Monday, November 26, 2018. He is the 14th Law Enforcement Officer in 2018 to fall as a result of a 9/11 related illness. We thank Trooper Robert E. Nagle for his service to his state and his country, the United States of America. He is a "True Blue Hero”. Bless the lives of his family so that they might find healing. Help the New Jersey State Police comfort and support his family in their time of grief. Even though his death may have been senseless, make something good come out of this incident so that the New Jersey State Police and the State of New Jersey, in which Trooper Robert E. Nagle served, might be stronger because of his life and death. We pray all these things, in Your mighty and holy Name. Amen.

Rest in Peace our Hero-in-Blue. We will take it from here! God speed my Brother-in-Blue! And for the family, friends, and the New Jersey State Police, in which Trooper Robert E. Nagle served, please find comfort in these words from Jesus Christ, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4]. For the Lord Jesus proclaimed, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God" [Matthew 5:9] and "Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends" [John 15:13]. For the Lord Jesus also promised, “… Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise!” [Luke 23:43].
