Scripture Readings of Comfort for Detective Mark S. Gado, of the New Rochelle, New York Police Department and his Family and his Colleagues:

For the Lord Jesus proclaimed, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God." [Matthew 5:9 ESV] and "Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends." [John 15:13 ESV]. Rest in Peace our Hero-in-Blue. We will take it from here. For the Lord Jesus promised, “… Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise!” [Luke 23:43 EVS] God speed my Brother-in-Blue!

And for the family, friends, and the law enforcement agency in which he served, please find comfort in Jesus’ words, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4 NKJV]

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” [Psalm 23:1-6 NKJV]
